Looking for feedback on my latest eBay searching invention

One of my biggest complaints about eBay is that you only have the ability to search one thing at a time. Maybe it is just me, but I like to search, compare, and watch numerous auctions at once. I hate always having switch between tabs and trying to remember what auctions I am trying to watch.

So, I decided to devise a little web application to allow me to search and compare multiple auctions at once.

The idea being that you can search for all ‘sorts of’ things at once, on eBay.

Looking for an Otter that owns a hosting co.

I got hooked up with iMountain a few years ago though OT for a pretty decent price, and had a pretty good experience with them. Suffice to say, they seems to be taking a pretty massive shit right now, so I need a new host. I thought I would try to support the community and go with a host that is owned by an OTer.
Anyone want to chime in or point me in a good direction?

No idea, but MediaTemple.com is an awesome host. Love them.

Thanks, I decided to give hostgator a try, I am not at a level yet where I would need media temple, and I read some less than stellar reviews on the low end products MT has to offer.

All of you people buying MASS domains and doing nothing with them..

And taking every single random name out there.

Fuck you.

These aren’t even common, they have no real traffic, not brand-able, just no use for them really, but I keep seeing all these holding companies in the who is. They don’t use them for money-domain sites, they don’t have any website at all, they just sit in storage forever.

Left voicemails to buy them though.

I really don’t understand how it’s legal, or where they can get the sort of deals that allow them to afford this. My uncle recently forked out over 4000 dollars for 100 domain names, but it will probably have a huge return. These other guys must be getting a lot more domains for the same price, or otherwise they wouldn’t be able to hold on to such stupid names for so long. And they don’t even do anything decent with them, even the holding page is terrible. And they might have to have a holding page like that by law, in which case the law is stupid. They should at least be able to generate some sort of page that would have information related with the term.

How do I get an approximate cost and start having this shit built without divulging the entire game plan? I realize NDAs are a joke, but I dont want to get zuckerberged

I once worked on a project like this. I paid a consulting fee to a guy here in Austin, he told me what kind of coding/technologies would be needed, how many hours it should take, approximate cost, etc

how to de-blacklist new client’s site

so their site was blacklisted by google safe browsing for malware, I took a look at it and got rid of the crap

scans say there is no malware on the site anymore, and the site is no longer blacklisted by opera, norton, etc… but google won’t de-blacklist it

I went into webmaster tools > malware > request a review and now "request a review" is no longer available (probably because the review is pending?)

it’s been about 9 days now and no updates from google, anyone have experience with this?
