I manage 20 sites for small/medium businesses (i build them, host them, update them, etc for ongoing fees). So far it’s a mixed bag of hosting, some are on shitty cheap VPSes, some are on my Linode slices with no real management side. I want to put it all somewhere together, but I want each to have cPanel so they can do their own emails/etc.
The short version. WordPress Car dealer website, have 1 pre-built plug-in, it’s really light in size and simple, it can handle data feeds, has search and details page done, all of the extensive confusing work is done.. I need someone who can customize our search and vehicles detail page designs. I need to use a website but it only accepts Australian traffic. Even some of the proxies that cause google.com to redirect to google.com.au, and therefore made me think they would work, aren’t passing this website’s location check and I’m not sure why. I figured they would work.

When I try to copy index.php from the wordpress folder into the root directory, where it’s supposed to be, I get this error:

I’m not really familiar with permissions. I checked all the boxes on both the index.php file I’m trying to replace and the one with which I’m trying to replace it thinking that that would give me the necessary permission but it still didn’t work. It probably means you have a widget that’s being a cunt. You should disable some widgets and/or plugins and see if the problem goes away. Then narrow it down until you find the culprit. Then figure out why it happened.
Also, call it a hunch, but I think looking near line 206 in wp-includes/default-widgets.php might give you some insight into what may be going on when the script errors out.
