Is it better to use XML over traditional HTML or should I just stay with HTML. Btw, using Dreamweaver. I was looking at wordpress, but they sell you templates and there are not many options for customization.
XHTML, yes.
There are plenty of .. almost any of them will be better than something you’d design yourself in Dreamweaver.

Use traditional HTML. XHTML has essentially merged with HTML5. Rather, use the strict form that’s required of XHTML but serve it as HTML content.

you did not look very hard at wordpress, there a shit load of free ones and it is very easy to customize them
and don’t use dreamweaver

i doubt it. Dreamweaver is trash.
there are thousands of free & excellent wordpress themes. Your site would be easier to manage using wordpress as well.
