What site do you guys do this at? I s’pose it doesn’t matter right?

I bought one @ godaddy.com a while back but I’m not sure if they’re any good or not because I need hosting too.

I’m going to start a couple sites using WordPress (one blog and a personal portfolio) and I s’pose I should add that I am a complete noob.

going with a less than reputable registrar can have you in a position where they hold your domain hostage and not let you transfer it.

im not saying this happens with other less known registrars, but why not go with something thats tried and true?

Godaddy is the cheapest as far as big companies that aren’t going anywhere. But as Pepsi said, get a different host. There are even a few good ones here that give good deals.

I like hostgators shared hosting a lot. For your purpose of just throwing on a few wp blogs and such its fine. Just remember that you getwhat you pay for with hosting and free hosting is shit.

I’ve used directnic for years.. yeah they are 15.00 domains, but they never send me spam/offer/other mail, are very reliable and professional. Also have a few through godaddy, so can’t really complain about them that much..
