I haven’t had a website since I took my college design portfolio offline years ago. I’m completely new to blogging besides subscribing to a ton of other design blogs. I’ve been wanting to create a design blog for a while now. Finally sat down and did it. I really moved out of my comfort zone with the look of it. Tried to use a color scheme that I can’t use on some of my clients’ boring corporate sites.
I used Expression Engine CMS and updated to the newest version 2.0 yesterday. I really like it. Still getting used to the admin, it’s not as user friendly as I think it should be. Anyway, critique away! Continue reading Critique my new site please!→
As a graphic designer turned web designer, I struggle when the WYSWYG of the HTML editor i’m using shows an inaccurate display in design view.
I just can’t see myself hand code everything without looking in design view. Doing F12 / preview in browser gets tedious and slows down my work as well.
Am I the only one here who struggles with this?
Ibeteveryoneherehandcodeswithoutdesignview.
I used to use dreamweaver to design with, now I just crack open notepad and do it
I know you can go to file and go to save for web and devices but I can’t figure out how to slice links in and what not.
I’ll tell you for more pics of your AV.
Well anyways;
Get your image
Slice it up
File > Save for web & devices
You can pick settings for each slice
Hit save and you’re done. It will save each slice as a file, so, 1 file per sliced area.
Why not just code it yourself?
There was a website that would do it, but i forget the name of it. Also, it costs money

I’m like 3 years late, but whatever. The facebook api documentation sucks giant cock, but once you start to figure it out it’s not too bad.
I made an app that pulls from my college bar website that allows facebook people to identify and share their favorite bars.
Shit’s weak though. You can’t add it to the directory until like 5 people are actively using it and 10 people have used it once in the month or something like that.
the directory is complete fucking garbage anyway. I had more success with myspaces app platform, and who the fuck uses myspace anymore
Who would like to start one? I figure if they are still online they are still making money…maybe we can capture a niche market. I’ve got monies.
Trev runs one or two of these. I have no idea if he makes any money off of them though.
Number 1, I’d imagine you’d be pirating content… so you’re no better than a torrent site. In terms of legaility, expect DMCA take down notices etc.
Number 2, you’re going to need a ridiculous amount of bandwidth. If you haven’t already got access to cheap bandwidth (e.g. gbit cogent at $1.5/mbit 95th) then you’re going to struggle to profit. Continue reading Streaming porn site→
