Any recommendations for web design/web dev that aesthetically is on par with Taste of Ink studios work?

Thanks for any help

$~5000 budget
I’m pretty sure they’re a printing company that turned into a "lets do everything" company.

For a $5k budget, I would definitely not go with them.

What is your site for/product?

If you feel qualified, please pm me. (or recommend someone half decent)
Puppetmaster has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.
What exactly are you looking for? What kind of designs and for what kind of company?

that’s what my web guy is telling about my new site..
would housegator be faster?

fact or bull crap?
What kind of hosting setup do you have with GoDaddy? He could be correct.

Shared server I think..

Just called them to see what is up and it started to run faster

I REALLY like the inline editor that they have. It is great for people who either don’t have a clue about web design, or just don’t have the time.

The only problem is, their sites are tailored for sports teams/organizations. I am looking to build a site for a business that may offer a few items for sale as well. They are TOTALLY sold on the "cms" portion of the site, but obviously don’t want a sports site.

For those of you not familiar with ngin.com…
You login to the admin area and click on "new element" to add elements to the page. To move them, you simple drag and drop. You edit text in a word editor. And you never have to touch the code. Plus they host it, so the client doesn’t have to worry about any server side issues.

Medium scale reputation management campaign. I’d do the development myself but I don’t have the capacity to do it right now.

Quick facts:
- 5-20 sites each with 5-10 pages (appox… still waiting on exact details)
- My client or I can potentially provide at least some of the content
- In the event that you have to produce any of the content (unknown if this will even be the case at this point) it has to be good and fit certain guidelines. No spun bullshit, no ESL bullshit, no outsourced bullshit, etc.

For an independent study my brother is going to *attempt* to make a website to showcase his architecture work. The problem is, he has no background in this. What programs make it easy for a first time web designer to get started? Preferably premade templates, etc. Thanks guys, reposted from the wrong subforum
I’m going to start sounding like a shill for them, but using will end up with something better than what he’d make in dreamweaver most likely.

doesn’t help if he needs to edit the theme and make it work for him

performance reports in top nav. Then custom channels or URL channels on the top left nav. Or you can play around with it and get more specific. I end up using URL channels most because I’m lazy lol

Still trying to get used to the "new" layout…miss the ease of seeing everything right when I logged in in the old version.

apparently ipv4 addresses are due to run out within the next year or two, which has recently accelerated the process of migrating to ipv6 (and it’s also driving up the prices of ipv4 addresses, and it’s the reason why some of you may have noticed that hosts are requiring a fucking thesis paper before they give you another ip these days). lots of major differences.

- more possible ip addresses for a single device than have been distributed in the entire ipv4 internet.
- a single device can use multiple addresses at once, with a de facto standard of 5 addresses (global unicast, local unicast, multicast, anycast, special)

I’ve been asked to put together an online store for a local motorcycle accessory shop. They’ve got a few thousand products, but they won’t do that many sales, it’s more about just showing potential customers everything they have in store + picking up a few leeched online sales while they’re at it.

They want to use PayPal for all transactions.

Should I just set them up with Shopify + a custom template, or setup a VPS + ZenCart/osCommerce/whatever? If the latter, what’s the hotness lately?
