thoughts on either?
we’re getting a new dedicated server for solely minisites/blogs and it’s a toss up right now.
git > mercurial > svn
Just my opinion.

what do you guys recommend? I’m looking for something that is free…
why do you need an alternative?
what features are you looking for that are lacking?
ive used for a while now. its more real-time than google analytics, so i like that i can view where visitors are coming from right now while my webserver is getting a traffic spike.
I’m looking to get more in to networking and I’d greatly appreciate any recommended networking books. I’m a web developer, but I’d like to do more system administration and learn more about hosting. If anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be great. What books did you use in college? Which ones were helpful? Anything!
The switch book by Wiley is a good read. Probably more then what you want though …
Network Warrior – O’Reilly Media is a good all around book.
It has literally never been used for anything. Sat in the rack for a few months unplugged and I ended up pulling it out about a year ago and has sat here doing nothing
Its serial number is Q87100EEV2Q
2.0 QX / 4×1 / 750 / 750 / COMBO / MEZQFX
Anyone interested in this thing at all? Shoot me an offer…anything reasonable I’ll accept + shipping costs.
If someone local to me in Vancouver, BC wants to check it out let me know.
I really would have no idea what the demand for an XServe is, they are nice machines but unless someone has an OS X shop – what is the need

I put up some site about two years ago starting a porn/adult forum and it went no where because I didn’t have any time for it actually. I renew the domain every year because its only 7 bucks but its riddled with spam bots. Literally slammed with spam bots, making posts, nothing but junk.

They are all 3 months old, they have really no traffic, they are 99% info’s, they are like sskdir.info
I was thinking of making a shit load of wordpress sites with amazon aff plugins and adsense on them related to different niche subjects and somehow interlinks them and stuff but the question is how to manage all of them? Anything past 20 domains becomes a pain in the ass.
was also thinking of gettign an unmetered server or two blocking shit countries and installed some proxy scripts like glype and throwing some ads up on it or maybe email incent stuff. but how would I manage all of those lol.

There are probably about 50 people I want to get my product in front of to really start moving forward, I’ve done a bit of targeted Facebook advertising – but that only gets you so far.
I am tossing around the idea of getting a Booklet printed up and mailing it to who I need to. (Granted, that will be the most difficult part, stalking their names )
I thought about a sales sheet, but in reality I don’t know if that would be any better. There are also sales letters, but I would think a "sexy" booklet would grab some attention. I would assume the letters would just be trashed.

I am using Google Apps for email – i’ve setup the TXT record to validate the emails as legitimate, but I am still getting marked and dumped for a lot of clients. Even more annoying is they are generally emailing me from their own accounts first.
Any easy ways to correct and get whitelisted? I am not down for paying some faggot company to whitelist me
