I had an older version of wordpress on one of my sites and I found out over the weekend that it got hacked. A JavaScript snippet embedding malware on was appended to all index.* files and *.js files in the wordpress directories. I didn’t upgrade to a newer version of wordpress because I had it integrated with a few other apps.
Has anyone had this happen?
I’d like to assume that my site was hacked using a wordpress security flaw which I could’ve prevented by upgrading. But now I’m wondering if someone hacked in using ftp or otherwise. I was going to rebuild entire the site anyways, so it’s no big deal, but I’d like to close any holes before I do.

Can somebody tell me whats up w/ mailing lists in laymans terms, ie how they work?
I know I could do my own with PHP, but I don’t want that shit getting jacked and having some hacker spam everyone I send it to. My client is on 1and1, but their shit sucks, I can’t fucking figure out how to use it, plus they have some settings that I can’t override.
Any easy/good software out there for this that someone here uses?

However only IE7 displays the website as I have envisioned it, other browsers are having trouble with the CSS I wrote.

IE8, FF 3.6.10 & Safari 5.0.1 looks something this like. Note the background tile and where it ends compared to IE7′s.

I don’t ahve time right now to look through the code but i’ve seen that before with floats. Usually you need to clear:all or clear:both the floats after the content so the wrapper knows where to finish, if that makes sense. (I’m no CSS master, someone might be able to explain it better)

Alright so I’m doing a soft launch of a site I’ve been working on. I’d love thoughts and feedback.
The site is
It’s editorial / curated mixed with user gen / submitted content about funny stuff that happens at the gym.
The problems I have with it thus far are:
Header image – make it into a link to home
Top of the side bar is ‘Submit a Fail’ – I want to make that an image
Bottom of every post is Facebook like and Tweet. I want these on the same line
