Designer turn coders

As a graphic designer turned web designer, I struggle when the WYSWYG of the HTML editor i’m using shows an inaccurate display in design view.

I just can’t see myself hand code everything without looking in design view. Doing F12 / preview in browser gets tedious and slows down my work as well.

Am I the only one here who struggles with this?

I used to use dreamweaver to design with, now I just crack open notepad and do it

Nah thats a fucken cop out. IF youre a decent visual interface designer, you can take that 3 week course (or read the internet for free?) to learn how to script well enough to get things looking 99% identical to a PSD. People like psd2html are making a killing only becuase theyre cheaper than the effort required to learn.

Seriously. DIVs make designing so much easier.

I might take longer than most "proper" coders, but I’ve never had a design that I couldn’t code.

The developer I work with is always so fast to say "Yeah you can’t have this in the design" because he’s too fucking lazy to try and figure it out.
