Done deal

2nd acquisition in 13 months is finally done. M&A blows, started back in April

2nd mobile product. Sadly, I have to work for them for ~2 years (Which I mean, oh noes a guaranteed income)

I am telling you guys, mobile enterprise market is HOT HOT HOT. It will be the cash cow in the next year or two.

Mobile as in phone apps? Isn’t there already enough stuff? I mean what else can be made.. No ideas even come to mind. , When I think mobile all I think of is:

– Organization apps.
– Video apps.
– News apps.
– Game apps.
– Payment apps.

Is there anything else available? Not sure what I’d even do.. So hmm, staying with my main sites for now, and working on my own mobile apps/sites for those exclusively..

But congrats bro! , thanks for sharing.

Are you doing the programming and development yourself or outsourcing?

It always seemed like there was an app for everything…it seems somewhat difficult to come up with an original idea in the app area..

Congrats

Congrats,

Currently working on a proposal for mobile integration of some existing ticketing systems, I will probably get a nice $50 gift card.

I concepted, designed, and built.

There are Apps for everything.

The key is, writing a better app. 99% of shit out there is that – pure shit. If you can do better, you will profit.

Just highly polished Apps is where it is at.

If it is Ticketmaster, write a backdoor

Everything is available. New products with old ideas is fine.

It is fit and finish that wins in the end of they day. You have to build the best mouse trap.

I just think the enterprise services market will be huge. Build a tool that can be used internally by big business.

you’re producing inhouse iOS apps?

aka

?

In the program, that is more of "I work at Lockheed and I wrote an internal App for Lockheed to do time management"

You must be pretty damn good at coding if you are a one man show & were able to sell the app for I’m guessing a decent amount of coin.

Have you made enough to leave the country yet? I know those 14 year old boy charges are still pending…

, just kidding man. Thanks for the advice!

i didn’t have all the equity in this last one, which was a bad on my part. my idea and execution… Live and learn.

But the real upside is in options

Every app idea I’ve had already exists. Sometimes a lot of them exist.

I wanted to make a chess clock app so when you’re playing chess you could pull out your phone and set it on the table next to the board and the screen divided into two (top and bottom) and each side had the timer for that player and a big button to push after you move to start the other guy’s timer.

So I searched and there were like 50 of them already

but that does not mean all of them are good, or work properly or offer everything you want them too

like many a thing in this world it is about building the better mouse trap, a lot of inventions are just improvements on older shit

with our without decimals?

I’d bet you $5 that all of them are complete shit.

Seriously, I just looked up Apps for tracking milage for reporting for taxes

All garbage

Good point.

You know, I heard they now offer college classes on App development. Is it hard?

I suppose I didn’t factor any of that in. I just assumed that the need had already been filled. They may actually be shit. I like the design I mocked up better than the designs I see when I Google image it

Then again, chess players are pretty nerdy so I bet they may have spent the time to make it be decent rather than just half-assing something to sell to others.

I may have to look into this further.

Without, ideally.

Whilst I applaud your endeavours in creating apps, what I would be careful of is essentially becoming an outsourced app development employee for large companies. If they’re picking up your apps for, say $50-100k a time, that’s cheaper than them employing a team to develop the same thing in-house.

I think with your track record, you can aim higher.
