Hiring: Entry-level HTML programmer (emails mostly)

I’m hiring an entry-level HTML programmer (emails mostly), if you know anyone let me know! Full-time, on-site, contract (hourly, no benefits, but unlimited overtime), with tons of room for advancement for the right person.

All you really need to know is how to take a PSD, cut it up, and turn it into a tabled email. You’ll also be doing sales support so be good on the phone and have good customer service. It’s a close-knit working environment and casual. Jeans and sneakers.

Job is near Rockefeller Center. We’re looking to move pretty quickly and start interviews and have someone hired in the next two weeks.

Let me know if you know anyone!

Pay will vary, but $20/hour is probably roughly what you will be starting with.

Can’t

But if you want to move down anyways, you’re more than welcome

I spent 5 days in Manhattan a few weeks back I wouldn’t mind living there at all. The logistics and red tape of making it happen makes it pretty much impossible.

Well, if you find yourself through the red tape

Let me know!

No responses? Is the pay not good enough?

shit, if it was remote, i’d do it in a heartbeat. I design email blasts where i work currently.

Sorry

Have to be local.

Thoughts on the rate? Is $20/hour too low?

that’s what i figured. I’m pretty much a goddamn ninja when it comes to designing email blasts too, I don’t know how in-demand someone like that is in general, but I pretty much write them to have the same look across different mail clients, and webmail (gmail was the worst btw).

sounds low for NYC even for just an html job, but I know actual developers who don’t make much more than that in Atlanta

it’s about 40% html emails and 60% sales support and random things like that.

still open?

$20/hr is good, but in NY that’s like $12/hr.

I bet you could find some people at a local community college or even high school with enough skills to do it for that wage.

Been wanting to move somewhere new, is the job still open?
Long term or short term, and are there any opportunities to move up within company?
Also your Craigslist post has been taken down.
