you should just give up.

+1, way to give some a heart attack.

Post your head.php file. The code you posted has nothing to do with what you want.

Why are you editing php files when this looks like a plugin/theme config that is editing them for you?

I was thinking that, but on my test site , which is using the same files and plugins, isn’t having this problem.

post your functions.php file from you theme ( and parent theme )
Fairly certain it’s being generated by wp_head .. it’s actually right after <!– wordpress head functions –> in the source, the source view you originally posted is a result of the browser pushing the stray text into the body.

It’s probably a function being called with the following hook:
add_action(‘wp_head’, ‘your_function’);
where "your_function" will be the offending function with some code that is printing your theme directory for some reason.

Not sure of if that hook can call functions from other files, if so it’s possible it’s somewhere else too.

I’m still waiting for an answer to my original question…

i don’t what plugin or what part of the theme is doing this.

Fixing it manually may work now but not later as things update. i’d try to find the root issue vs. the immediate fix.

It’s probably a function being called with the following hook:
add_action(‘wp_head’, ‘your_function’);
where "your_function" will be the offending function with some code that is printing your theme directory for some reason.

Not sure of if that hook can call functions from other files, if so it’s possible it’s somewhere else too.

For example, to call the 300 x 300 sized image,
we would use the function:
<?php the_post_thumbnail( 'bones-thumb-300' ); ?>

<?php the_post_thumbnail( 'bones-thumb-600' ); ?>

You can change the names and dimensions to whatever

I’m still waiting for an answer to my original question…

i don’t what plugin or what part of the theme is doing this.

Fixing it manually may work now but not later as things update. i’d try to find the root issue vs. the immediate fix.
