PrntScrn > Paste in Photoshop color difference…

How do I get consistent color when I do a screen grab using Print Screen? When I paste it in to photoshop it’s noticeable different…

Prt Screen has never had any differences in photoshop for me..
Ohhh.. CTRL = N = New box to paste in, make sure you color’s are right. RMB or whatever, make sure CMYK isn’t selected. Check the new box color settings.

RGB lol

and I am always using CMYK, because I design a lot of stuff for print, so I have to change over to RGB when I want a transparent PNG

Dumb question, but are you pasting it on a different monitor?

My right monitor has slightly different colors than my left monitor. If I alt+PrntScrn something on my left monitor and then paste it into Fireworks on my right monitor, it looks a little different.

I actually thought this exact same thing but I figured "nah, anyone would be able to figure out why it looks different."

It would be hilarious if that’s what it winds up being.

No, same monitor. I changed my color profile from "Print" to "Web" in photoshop and it seems to have helped/fixed.

thanks guys

that is why, print is set up for CMYK and Web is RGB so colors will look different
