PSD to WordPress, does who I choose matter? Prices vary so much amount companies?

Its a mini-sales site. Just need a three page wordpress theme done.. Need it for entirely SEO purposes, but need wordpress to update content daily. Does it matter what company I choose, prices keep going up and down.. From $214 – $400.. Anyone have any recommendations, I’d prefer it be cheap but would rather pay more for better quality. Don’t even know who to choose.. It’s such a small basic template, just images and text, and a drop-down navigation, nothing else…

, I hate trying to figure this stuff out. I have no idea

Homepage.
Article Page.
Category Page.

why not find a theme and customize it to fit your needs?

I just did this, it’s very easy to take a blank theme with no styling and just use it as the structure to your design. Especially if you already have it in Photoshop.

I don’t have time, also I can’t use a pre-made them beacuse it’s a commerical business website. The companies we work under have direct industry standards for website guidelines and requirements for each site. Logo has to be here, font has to be this, colors have to use this, footer has to have this, etc. the list goes on forever. I’ll admit too, I’m great with coding small simple sites, but when you add in custom headers, navigation styles, and sidebars, I can’t even begin to figure it out. I looked at hundreds of themes to find one that was close or would work, and there all way to off. More work than it should be.

Details? I’ve read tons of psd to wordpress tutorials, but they are all lacking information or don’t cover things I’d like to know.. Most of them get really confusing, some are like seven pages long or forty min of video. It’s hard to keep up when they demand a step and expect you to know everything they do. If you have any, I’ll give it a shot, I’ll be able to put $ back into my pocket and save the money for other projects we need. The theme or design is ready to go in a PSD file, with all the images, layers, fonts, etc. I can slice it and have it online and load in image blocks but I can never get past that point.

there is a website out there somewhere that will do this for you.

lost the link tho

It’s all good, if you had it I know you’d post it.

Just to update the thread, I’m just going to do an XHTML conversion from the PSD, it’s a lot cheaper and I’ll just update each new post myself. Will only require a small amount of code on two pages.

seems like you are in over your head lol

I do psd -> WP and Xhtml -> WP. Pm me if you want more infos.

This is the theme I started with, it’s literally blank css. It still has the tags in place for the necessary classes, etc., but they are blank and ready to be filled in.

I used it, applied some div’s to structure the file based upon what I had converted from PSD to XHTML and that was that.
