they’re going to be severely watered down for the most part.. and lost..
so you won’t get much as far as ranking or organic leads
you’d be better off finding stuff directly related to your content, even if it’s just a single posting

Look at it like this…
For every 500 links on pages like that, it’s about the equivalent of one link on a content-rich page with only a few(or zero) outbound links.
It doesn’t hurt, but really depends on you. I’ll buy up 1000 backlinks on sites like that as well as 2-3 on really good sites.. add it all together and it’s still good to go.
I have a database of 60k of them pr10 on down. Just use outsourcers to do it manually for the best quality links to be made. The problem is unless you are getting super hard links you will constantly have to link build.
