The Future of Websites? Where websites change based on each person? Live controllers.

Where you can browse a site and a person in the background modifies the site based on what you’re looking at and provides on-screen suggestions and live support and a walk-through.. All while being hidden, they can see your heat-map and cursor in real time. And where you look at a product page and they setup the next page or change the homepage specials to constantly reflect your interests.. All in real time.

A neural network is best suited to this type of thing.

Man that would be annoying.

I miss the late 90’s internet.

why would you need a person for that? it happens now with ads

I miss the internet in the mid-90’s. It was all so new, so much to explore.

Every website wasn’t covered with ads.

News sites didn’t have popup floating windows that you have to chase around with the mouse until it stops and you can click the X and finally read the news article that is hidden underneath.

Chatrooms/forums weren’t full of douchebags and trolls.

You could leave negative feedback on eBay.

Review websites actually told you which product was best based on its attributes, not based on how much affiliate commission it pays.

Reminded me of the Microsoft word clip guy?

These probably won’t be websites but more along the lines of augmented reality.

I’m actually close to finding a new career, lately. I don’t like how the web has gotten. I pictured sites going more down the Wikipedia route, just huge information dumps, and for business sites to be straight-to-the-point and useful, but it’s turned into a whole bunch of infomercials and social crap.

the future? this has been going on for at least 10 years!
90% of most search query results are adaptive (on-the-fly) websites.
thankfully they are being removed because its nothing more than a bunch of fucking spam, that links to more spam, spam spam.
