Who here has actually written a business plan

lol

i’ve grown bored with my iPhone App, but whether I like it or not it is starting to get some interest from rather large organizations, so I’ve picked it back up.

I know the plan to monetize it and make it worth a boat load, offering it as SaaS, but I’ve never done anything like this (business wise)

I have written a few, you might want to post this in the Wall street section? Look online for samples and create your own, or if you don’t have time go find a business plan software and it’s pretty easy from there.

I am in the process of writing a marketing plan, I still need to write a business plan

There’s an app for that (no seriously, for the iPad I think lol)

1. Go here:
2. Set up a meeting with a counselor
3. ????
4. Profit

you are the second person to mention them in the last 2 weeks about small businesses and business plans

I’ve never used score.org, but they’re supposed to be good. One of the ones near me was named the best one in the nation last year. That’s from an internal survey, but whatever.

I’ve written business plan summaries before. The company I worked for a few years ago would help people get businesses started. Nothing fancy (e.g., a gift shop, a computer repair place, some guy that sells pizza out of a food cart at sporting events), but we were good at it. Anyhoo, my job, among other things, was to redact data from various departments and people into a 30-60 page business plan. Then I got to write a 5-10 page summary of it. It would be reviewed and edited by my boss before it was sent to the bank, but that’s the gist of it.

If I were writing one from scratch, I wouldn’t have any idea where to begin. That’s why I think a service like score.org would be a smart decision.

That is a really cool job as far as jobs go

Thanks brollies. I bought a book on writing business plans to get a better idea

The company that contacted me within two weeks of me originally releasing the App, contacted me again

Out of curiosity, why are you writing a business plan? Do you want funding?

I am not seeking funding, yet. But I plan to offer up the product as SaaS, so I need to start getting things in line.
