I want to build a site that navigates and slightly looks like Wikipedia but I won’t know PHP or any languages so I’d like something easy to use

What Wikipedia uses:

.

Why not use this? It’s what most if not all Wiki sites use. It’s free, and extremely easy to setup.

I’ve tried MediaWiki but I really don’t understand it
Are you having issues with the installation? Where are you planning on hosting this? Ie. do you have a hostgator account or something?

Well for now I want to make an offline database of information that’s searchable and Wiki-looking, and I will probably put it online one day in the future, but for now, it will remain on my own computer and off the internet.

Easy, what operating system have you got?
Windows 7

do you have some sort of AIM or something?
you could always use this if you cant figure it out:

if you end up going the wordpress route and plan on working on this project offline you will need to set some things up on your local machine

instead of installing PHP and MySQL manually (which are required for WP to function), you can just use this all in one installer

I would reccomend wordpress since you said you aren’t familiar with "any languages"

good luck man
