Webmaster and online money making crew please vote for a new forum on ot

I’m trying to get faz to create a forum for us and sorta help people possibly make money online and how to get started etc.

I was thinking of "Hello World" or something, if you got a better name idea post it as well.
makes sense, OT does get quite of bit of ad revenue from hosting companies
there are alot of people here that do have webpages and a couple of us make money online. We have threads every so often to talk about our projects and what we are doing but sometimes they get locked, we aren’t trying to advertise but just discussing our current projects.

member services is different, this is for the discussion of wepage authoring, adsense, ypn, adwords, yahoo search marketing, affiliate marketing, selling domains or websites, what the best place for hosting or colocation is , etc

sent an email to fazle and he said make a poll, if he is willing to make a style forum we can get a webmaster one. If you do a search there are enough topics to have its own forum.

It’s a good idea in theory, but I find forums based around this topic always tend to end up wallowing in pool after pool of affiliate networks and emarketing scams which provide short term success at the expense of an entire industry’s integrity. I think the theads we make currently do well in allowing users to discuss the things that are important and then getting locked when the thread turns into a referral-fest or a "how to make money online no matter how sleezy your tacics" conference.

99% of the people here probably have websites. Whether its something basic or a money making venture. i actually think its weird we don’t have one

I am in, I could use the resource to help my business. there are plenty of them on the internet but one on here would be a different cross ection of information.
I think having a forum like this is a viable option, and it isn’t so I can rip people off. I want to generally be able to help people with this stuff and get questions answered. I thought maybe of doing some how to’s on making money with adsense or ypn or perhaps affiliate marketing.

helping people on OT and getting serious response vs sarcasm and smartass replies is two different things. Webmaster forum I can see but online money…. no thats just ASKING for bans, flaming and huge debates

i think what he means is just like what service to use, adsense, bidvertiser, adbrite, etc. ad placement can also be discussed as well as marketing strategies and such.
exactly, and how to optimize your page for ads, making landing pages, etc. I can only lead a horse to water.
basically do your page up like flyupload you draw in your audience downloading porn, ask them to click a link four times before you get to your final product in the mean time you load them up with ads that pop up everytime… profit

For those OTers looking to make millionz but can’t think of an idea…here is a good opportunity.

Develop an uploader like Flyupload except don’t rape your surfers with never-ending popups and ads. Nobody likes the popups but they tolerate them FOR NOW because there aren’t any competitors that don’t have pop-ups. Figure out a way to make money with an upload/hosting service without popups and you’ll be a millionaire overnight. Even if you have low profit margins to start with you’ll eventually put the other services out of business…

If any OTer actually does this they must agree to pay me 5 cents for every file downloaded for life
yeah I hate ahikistyle he owns it, tried copying stuff I did with ihostphotos, he had an uploader and sold it for 30k and now he started flyupload.

I didn’t even know that forum existed.
I lurk the webmaster threads, it would be easier for me if they were all in one place.
I use OT to catch internet trends/fads. I don’t really rip anything off, but its a good way to get some quick traffic on some sites(for example: allison stokke)

you can’t name one idea on the internet that hasn’t been copied by someone else. And even for big companies they copy each others ideas all the time thats business and its funny that you don’t get that. As far as being a slave you are the one who works for someone else and has them make money off of you in my opinion you are the one who is the slave.

You obviously get a kick out of stalking peoples posts on ot since you have basically just did a search on my username and posted in about every thread I posted in with some negitive crap. I didn’t start a webhosting cause of you I sent you a pm that said I looked up to you in a way due to your knowledge in the hosting industry. That was 4 years ago before what I know now.

and my user title says busines owner cause I had an internet business and sold it and started an actual retail store and sold that.

i keep emailing him to get it done and he stoped responding to my email. Pm him to see if he will get it done.

I run a webhosting business that has advertised on OT in the past, and I own a few other websites that generate income.
