plan on building some quick sites for e-sports teams

php nuke is shit due to security issues

I’ve looked at some wordpress plugins but they aren’t all that great

joomla and drupal have some nice modules but I think they’re too complicated for clients to manage themselves

all the smf hacks I looked at are outdated

help!
Drupal is probably the most modular for something like this. If you’re worried about your clients not able to use the admin interface, build something custom.

I built a local high school swim team a site with wordpress

any specific modules you can recommend?

did you use any specific plugin for stats, schedule, upcoming matches, etc…?

or did you just build a roster page using tables?

Event Calendar

I used that for schedule and upcoming matches
If you don’t mind paying…

ngin.com is the real deal

So easy…a caveman could update it.
my tennis team used teamsnap.com

amazing site.

There’s a slew of modules that can handle this. Schedule, Event, Calendar, etc. There’s also a slew of API’s that you can access to create something even more specific.

its pretty beast… got a forum, newsletter generator, shoutbox, match/calendar/news system + notifier, user profiles, team profiles, the works…

functionality is very similar to a popular site I am running with vbadvanced

here is a demo

username: admin
pw: demo123
wow that demo is ugly, I hope it is easy to customize and clean up
those look good, most places that give a demo have it at least a little stylized so it looks appealing to people
