I bought a wordpress theme/domain/hosting and realized I am in over my head.

The theme I bought is

I have used oDesk before for application development, was thinking of posting a project there to get the site updated how I want. I was wondering how many hours I should expect someone to take billing wise. I am also willing to offer someone here the job if their rate is reasonable and they have the experience.

I created a Powerpoint for the changes I want made. Is this enough information, with details in a separate document, for a designer? All of the sections and white boxes etc are built in to the theme with shortcodes, I just don’t know CSS to put them how I want and such. It looks like this:

Look up SEO and also try your best to use the Google Keywords Tool to get low competition yet medium to high global search terms.

anyone here lie on their resume about education, do agencies check for web developers or does your portfolio and in-house test sufficient enough for them not to check

I can’t say this post surprises me, at all.

There is nothing wrong with stretching the truth on your resume, but outright lieing about having something you don’t is too much.

Most places won’t check, but it’s still not a good idea if you get hired and can’t produce said documentation at a later time.

Hover effects don’t really work on touch screen shit since there’s no mouse.

Basically…you almost have to code two totally different sites it seems in order to do things right.

Such a pain in the ass.

Secondly…I think more people click and actually purchase or fill forms through traditional computers, not smartphones/tablets/whatever. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong with your opinions or links.

I want to code on the left with my html and css and have it show me what’s up in the right side or something so I don’t have to constantly go from editing the html/css file, then reuploading through ftp, the hitting f5 on my live site.

I get emails from time to time from people wanting to put ads on my sites, but do you ever solicit ads yourself?

Maybe you have a website all about dildos that ranks well for "dildos" and you want dildo vendors to advertise on your site, so you email them and ask if they want to buy a monthly ad.

Anyone have a template for such an email?

This should be quick for somebody who doesn’t suck. I, however, suck.

Basically, I know the site looks weird, but it’s the design I want. I want everything to be on one page with the info available just through that drop down menu. Less clicks = better conversion IMO. Of course the bounce rate will be lol but I’m not relying on SEO for this so google can eat a dick.

I need to make the sub menu only float as far right as the parent menu. It’s annoying me that it goes all the way past it.
