Which is faster for you?

I have a few test download files and I need to know which one is faster from different locations. You don’t have to finish the download as you should have a good idea in first 5 or 10 seconds what the average speed is (I’m also looking at actual speed and not the time it takes to complete).

Looking for premium WordPress themes

Hey guys, I’m building some sites and wanted to know where i can get some nice wordpress themes for free, any suggestions?

You won’t find any premium themes for free, but some of the free ones can be made to look premium with some minor tooling of the files.

Do you need any kind of SEO work done on your sites?

Developing a site like SA…

Was curious if you guys could shed some light on what it costs to start a site like Seeking Arrangement, leaving server costs aside. Website development fee, database, etc. Basically a site where people must create a profile and pay a monthly or yearly fee to be a member of.

traffic will be most expensive, you gotta let people know about the site, just cause you have this kick ass sugar daddy site doesn’t mean jack if you don’t have members. move onto another idea.

In my first year as a web designer, I’ve learned…

I’m my customers’ lowest priority. They book me. I need photos/logo, site content, etc. This takes 3 months to send over…after 5+ nagging emails. The site gets done. They have 10 irrelevant requests. I finish the site. They take weeks to send final payment.

Have owned several businesses and never been treated like such dirt.

Love the work…can’t stand these procrastinating business owners.

Depends on the client I think. You should lay out in your initial contact that you’re serious about the work and need certain things from them. If they don’t deliver they don’t get their desired product, simple as that. A business that’s serious about their website should be easy to work with.

JUpload not working, will pay for help.

Will pay for help! Can anyone kindly help me get jupload to work on a site using the wallpaper script w-script? It suddenly stopped bulk uploading so I’ve been trying to fix it myself but can’t get it to upload files correctly. Please PM me for more information if you think could help, thank you.

Site #2 Lexus

Both using the same template.. Both for the same dealership, have to use the same branding and about us text, etc. All the inner pages like contact us,

Differences: Changes in images, changes in main keywords, each have a blog section, each will have different content.. Different addresses..

The ultimate fail.

Just got a new customer, wanting some custom PHP work doing on his game. We agree price, and I start. Customer had only given a short amount of direction, but after a while he gave me access to CPanel. Great I think, I can see the code and figure it all out myself.

I login via FTP, have a look around, everything is good, and start to grab the first few files.

They’ve downloaded, I go to grab the rest, but wait….where are they?….where is public_html?!?!?!?! It should be there, it just was a second ago.
