Hm… I might look into this.
Not hijacking but got a simple question:
I’m looking to make a very simple site to sell some art stuff (digital files) and was wondering if I should go with a system like those above or just make my own simple one.
All I would need is a paypal checkout system with the ability for discount codes.
Anyone?
All of the cart programs I’ve found are way more complex than what I need, I just want to use Paypal and a simple title, description and a few pics.
Planning to make up my own simple script instead. Just going to use categories and PHP to loop thorough all the items in stock, basically.
Just nice, clean and simple.

both of you should use this
simplest cart I’ve ever come across, and its hosted off site which means its super fast, and you don’t need an SSL cert
works with wordpress, facebook, cell phones, etc… or just copy and paste the short html code they generate for you (for each product individually or the full store widget)
countless payment methods accepted, discount codes, digital product support, etc…
