I have an ebay store, and also have a domain name in which I eventually plan to make my own store.

Lets say they are this:

ebay store:

my domain:

I was wondering, if when people visit my domain they are automatically redirected to the ebay store, is there any problems with me building backlinks to that domain?

Would building backlinks to the domain name mystorname.com cause any issues since all it does is redirect visitors?

I just plan on starting to build backlinks to it, but don’t want it to be a waste of time.

Or do you think I should drop the redirect, place some content on the domain and just put a link to the ebay store for visitors to click? I only trade through ebay right now, but the fees are something I want to eventually avoid.

Thanks.
Search Engines wouldnt like that sort of thing.

My suggestion:
Wordpress/Drupal
Get a plugin which will display your ebay shop items (there are quite a few decent ones)
Build up a bit of content etc..
Then when you want to build your own store just integrate it into what you already have.
Thanks dude, glad I asked now.

Planning on using Drupal/Ubercart eventually, so this looks interesting.
