does anybody have any experience creating a store locator w/ Google Maps API?

I’m reading through the tutorial and am wondering how difficult it really is to get something like this up and running or any tips/secrets/suggestions that anybody may have.

I’m mainly worried about table population, and outputting XML via PHP (DOM) functions. I’m pretty rusty w/ PHP at the moment.
