Looking to possibly part out some servers

Anyone looking for anything, have a hand full of xeon cpus, ram, scsi drives, and some screens without stands etc.

I may be interested in some of it.

What size are the drives?

1g Ram?

Which specific CPU’s? I think I have room for 8 cpu’s at the moment.

I have 6 of these

they are p3’s not xeons xeons are in the ones I’m currently using but some I could part out.

i have a bunch of compaq 18.2gb 10k rpm wide ultra 3 scsi drives in caddies.

I’m getting more and more displeased

with 1+1.

Just found out tonight that they don’t allow php scripts to send mail to more than 1 address with your domain name after it. (dunno whats that’s called…)

Giant fucking fail.

I upgrade to get more features, and then this shit happens. Fuck em. I’m switching to ASO.

At least on 2 shared ASO accounts I had PHP mail() was completely disabled and they instructed to use swiftmailer or a similar package.

Are you serious? That’s retarded… Do you know who doesn’t have php mail() locked up?

Freelancers in Cali v. How do you have your company set up?

What are you guys doing as far as your taxes go? Are you a sole proprietor and operate under your name and SSN or do you guys have either an LLC, Inc, or S-Corp set up.

I’m kind of clueless to this whole thing and it’s getting to be about that time to legitimize this a bit more.

Any links or books your guys can recommend I go over?

Creating an image in a Java Servlet and displaying it without storing it

I have a large directory of images on my server. I want to slightly warp these images somehow in my servlet. The servlet currently generates some simple HTML and displays 8 images in it. It needs to warp and then display the warped version of these images. I believe the code for warping I have returns a BufferedImage. So I need to display that in the HTML without storing it. Any suggestions?

Give me a better description of what you want to do.

so what’s the best host for a VPS?

I keep going back to – never had any problems. Can upgrade anything on the spot (RAM, storage, transfer, IP’s), pick where its located (and change that at any time), and so on. I mainly use my VPS for personal crap – mainly testing out things – don’t have anything out in the open for people to see. 25k+ posts on their forums, and an IRC room with 287 users at the moment.

managed or unmanaged?

if you want to go managed, i absolutely love both wiredtree and liquidweb. cant go wrong with either of those.
