What’s the hotness in phpbb?

I’m making a forum and puld like some type of cms with a calendar gallery And a mopar car theme. I realize that I will have to do the skin myself bit what’s good out there for the other stuff I mentioned I was thingin like a front page cms where we can have a calendar of shows and links to other car clubs gallery script and stuff and it needs to be easy to use cause alot of these people are fully computer literate

Anyone use Google Apps as their email server?

I struck out on asking in the main forum, so thought I would give it a try here.

I’ve started using the Google Apps standard edition but I’m still interested in keeping Outlook. I know they have a sync option if you sign up for premier but I’m not sure I want to pay the $50/year for every user account I add.

From a little searching, I’ve found CompanionLink for Google which will sync calendars and contacts (and tasks, but in a cheesy way). It won’t sync the e-mail so I would just have to use IMAP in outlook… but is that the way it works with the official sync tool when you sign up for premier anyways?

certs

Hello everyone,

I designed and manage the website for the company I work for. I’m good with html/css/js(jquery) and know enough c#/sql (asp.net) that I built a data driven search for the website.

my question is what certifications should I get, even if they are bullshit certs to show my skills, just to have something since the company is asking for certifications that we have. I’m looking into going the MCPD route but that takes time and money, I’m just looking for something that I can knock out in a few weeks/few exams.

lol @ Dreamhoststatus.com

Dreamhoststatus.com is supposed to be a Dreamhost website that is stored off-site so that if their shit goes down, it will at least always be up.

I’ve checked in with like ten other Dreamhost websites. Everything seems to be down. Everything. And their Twitter page hasn’t been updated. It’s all been down for about 20 minutes now.

I only have one site hosted with them right now. I’m so happy that the hosting contract ends next month.

Drupal Module or page?

I have a script I wrote. It’s a form, that then parses the input through a template file and displays the output.

I have about 100 different versions of these scripts and I want to load them in to drupal, but i’m not sure the best way to do this.

Should I use drupal forms for this? Or make a module? or just put the code in to a page?

Any ideas?

Oh.. a link to an example of what im doing and what to put in drupal.

Anyone use buysellads.com ?

Thinking about using this for advertising - obviously we’ll do a small test to start with (we’ll probably try half a dozen sites for <$1000/month) but it looks like you can get a decent number of impressions for not very much money.

I’ve tried using them on my car forums…they kept denying me. Don’t know why…one of them has about 200 unique users a day (that actually login and post)

Lighttpd.. can you help?

Can Lighttpd be run along side Apache to serve up video files?

My dedicated server is running apache, I have many production sites operating on it.. I want to use lighttpd to handle media files that are hosted on one of my sites. Liquidweb helped by installing lighttpd to operate on port 81, apache is on port 80.

We configured the etc/lighttpd/vhosts.conf with
SHTTP["host"] == "www.example.com" {
server.document-root = "/home/example/public_html/"

This made me laugh. v. HostGator = lies.

Crossed out here since it auto activates it, and it remains on the screen even after typing in the new code.

Cliffs:
it auto activates "snowman", and tells you it’s their best coupon. Delete it, and put in "jury" and it clearly discounts more.

"highest available"…. maybe they mean MOST available… as in, the code that the most people have used, or have access to.

or maybe they mean highest number of letters in the coupon code…
