Ok retarded question. I am looking to split a server with a friend of mine. He is starting an IT business and wants to host his website. I am looking to run a few websites on this server as well. Also I would like to make this server a bit of a hobby box as well. I would like install the server version of a VoIP application on the server (Ventrilo). Also I would like to be able to maybe host a private game server for me and my buddies as well.
I will also need the server to come with WAMP/LAMP (I would prefer Windows Server 08 though).
What would be the best route? VPS .. Cloud or other?
Game servers and virtualization are typically no-go
Who is going to be managing the server? What are you going to do if one of your fucks up the other one’s stuff?

Not sure thats why I am asking this question
How much are you looking to spend? I’ve heard of game servers being run on VPS setups just fine but depending on what kind of VPS you’re getting, and the number/type of games you want to run, it might be a tight squeeze. Is a dedicated server out of the question?
Not really. The game server isn’t the main priority here. Basically I need WAMP for web hosting as first priority for a few projects and companies. I’m stuck between cloud or VPS. I’ve found VPS plans with cPanel/Plesk, but most Cloud hosting options are bare bones without AMP part of WAMP.
