I have not been able to find a system for generating ad revenue. So I am attempting to put together my own.
My thought process:
I checked out websites focused on fashion, and look at how many pages their users viewed per session. I came up with around ~5 pages per session/user
Next I looked at how many advertisements social media sites focused on fashion usually had. I came up with a surprisingly low number, around ~2.
I also figure the average user will use the site 1 time per week.
So my math looks like this: Unique users x 4 (4 visits a month) x 5 (average page views per session) x 2 (number of ads)
I also figure because my website is fashion focused, I will be paid ~1-2 dollars/1000 views.
Are there are any serious flaws in my math?
what have you used and how long did you try it out for?
your numbers are way off.
i have a fashion site, and if you think you’ll get $2 per 1,000 views you are smoking crack.
I ran adsense for a little while to see how shitty it’d be during alpha. Wanna know my eCPM? 17 cents per 1,000 views per ad.
That’s why I turned off all advertising completely. Screw pissing off users and diluting my brand over a few bucks a day.
What’s your site btw? Is it anything serious or just a blog? If blog, your numbers will be even worse.

I havent launched it, I have done all my HW except for financials. Its a social fashion network, similar to but not in competition with. Would you mind linking me to your site?
