I bought a $xxx SEO package and I didn’t get any movement for my keywords. Therefore it doesnt work. I run an SEO team in one of the most competitive industries and that’s how a lot of our clients act. Then they switch to some black hat shit, pop for a month or two, talk more shit and then bam, google banned.

I usually explain to potential clients what they can expect. I lose a lot of business this way. But those are the people i don’t want to work with anyway.

About 25% of them come back in 3-6 months and say "wow, those $50 to be #1 in google guys scammed me. I’m ready to try it your way now."

The rest of them just don’t have the budget or the patience. Noobs pick the worst niches. Yes, forex is profitable. No, you won’t rank for it with WSO’s or fiverr bullshit

My current "boss"(main client, really) found fiverr a couple weeks back and was all hyped up about them… "why don’t we hire someone there, Trev, for SEO!? They’re cheaper than you" blah blah blah.

He’s a somewhat racist, old school defense attorney.. I told him that if he trusts some Indian with his online presence for $25, then by all means… go for it. He gave me an inquisitive look and was like "screw those assholes".

It’s still astonishing to me how many people are so clueless about the web.
